Legal Scholars InternAt — City of Temecula
Intern will support the City of Temecula Legal Scholars program, which introduces students to careers in law and public service. Intern will assist with program coordination, student communications, and event logistics. Tasks include organizing materials, tracking participation, supporting workshops, and assisting with site visits and guest speakers. Intern will gain exposure to how local government operates, how legal careers intersect with public service, and how youth programs are planned and delivered. The intern will develop organizational and time management skills by supporting events, tracking participation, and managing program materials. The intern will strengthen professionalism, attention to detail, and workplace readiness in a real government setting.
The intern will receive an onboarding orientation covering City of Temecula policies, procedures, and workplace expectations. Training will include an overview of the Legal Scholars program, intern responsibilities, and program goals. The intern will receive hands on training in administrative tasks, professional communication, and event support. Ongoing guidance will be provided for task execution and use of internal tools. If the intern works with minors, mandated reporter training will be required and provided prior to engagement.
This is an office based internship in a professional municipal environment. No hazardous activities are involved. The intern will not be required to lift heavy objects or perform physically demanding tasks. If assisting with events, light setup may occur under staff supervision. The intern will follow all City safety policies and procedures at all times.
