Exercise Specialist - AideAt — G3 Physical Therapy and Wellness, PC
For someone who wants to work in personal training, kinesiology, or physical therapy, this is a great opportunity. Working directly with patients on a plan of care created by the physical therapist is a requirement of being a physical therapist assistant. The aides use exercise regimens and modalities to help patients with a range of diseases while working directly under the physical therapist's supervision. In addition to keeping an eye on the patient waiting area, physical therapist assistants guarantee top-notch customer care. A positive, amiable disposition and an eagerness to learn are also essential. You must have completed high school.
By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned how to support a physical therapist by assisting patients through prescribed plans of care, guiding basic therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision, monitoring patient safety and the clinic environment, and delivering professional, patient-centered customer service with a positive, eager-to-learn attitude
Students will be taught about different planes of motion and how to give instruction to help optimize patients health and enjoyment throughout the activity. Shadow → assist → perform (under supervision): gradual responsibility for patient flow, set-up, and basic exercise support. Patient communication training: greeting, encouragement, empathy, handling questions/concerns, professionalism
