Therapy InternAt — Fix Medical Group

Opportunity Summary

Fix Medical Group is offering a hands-on therapy internship for driven students who want real-world experience in a high-performance clinical setting. Interns are immersed in day-to-day operations and learn how modern sports therapy, rehabilitation, and performance care work together under one roof. You will work alongside experienced providers treating active adults, athletes, and professionals who care about results. Interns gain exposure to manual therapy, rehab progressions, recovery modalities, patient flow, and clinical communication. You will also see how a private practice operates, from patient experience to team collaboration and performance standards. This internship is ideal for students pursuing careers in physical therapy, chiropractic, athletic training, or related fields who want to build clinical confidence, professionalism, and practical skills that translate directly into their future careers.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

As a therapy intern at Fix Medical Group, you will develop practical, career-ready skills that extend well beyond the classroom. You will gain hands-on exposure to basic manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise progressions, and recovery modalities used with active adults and athletes. You will learn how to assist with patient flow, treatment setup, and session transitions in a fast-paced clinical environment. Interns build strong communication skills by observing and supporting patient education, learning how providers explain findings, plans of care, and expectations clearly and confidently. You will also develop professionalism, time management, and teamwork skills by working closely with therapists, administrative staff, and leadership. Additionally, you will gain insight into clinical decision-making, performance-based care models, and the standards required to operate a high-level private practice, helping you enter graduate programs or future roles with confidence and real-world perspective.

Opportunity Training

To ensure student success, Fix Medical Group provides a structured onboarding and ongoing training experience. Interns complete an initial orientation during the first week, which includes clinic policies, safety procedures, professional expectations, and an overview of treatment flow. This is followed by hands-on shadowing with licensed providers, allowing interns to observe clinical sessions, learn protocols, and gradually assist with approved activities. Throughout the internship, interns receive ongoing mentorship, feedback, and skill development through supervised participation in daily clinical operations. Training is continuous and adjusted based on the student’s academic level, program requirements, and demonstrated competency. Interns do not work independently with minors or vulnerable populations. Mandated Reporter training is not required.
