Front Office WorkAt — Capetanakis Medical Group

Opportunity Summary

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our OB-GYN practice and wellness center through patient support, health education, and administrative assistance, helping promote holistic and preventive care for women at all stages of life. By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned on reflecting on the intersection of mental health, physical health, and wellness across the lifespan

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

Our OB-GYN practice and integrated wellness center previously offered volunteer opportunities designed to support patient-centered care and provide students with exposure to interdisciplinary healthcare settings. Due to current capacity and program limitations, we have filled all available volunteer positions and are unable to accept additional volunteers at this time.

Opportunity Training

Students selected for this opportunity receive an orientation to the OB-GYN practice and integrated wellness center, including an overview of clinic operations, patient flow, and professional expectations. Training includes instruction on patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA), ethical conduct, boundaries in clinical settings, and trauma-informed, patient-centered care. Students are also guided on appropriate communication within an interdisciplinary healthcare team and supervised while observing clinical and wellness-related interactions.
