Activities InternAt — ActivCare Bressi Ranch
ActivCare Bressi Ranch is looking for qualified students interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field, working with dementia residents. The ideal candidate will spend one on one time with residents reviewing their life history, going on walks, assisting with gardening, art projects, music appreciation, massage, playing games and learning proper approaches and techniques for those with dementia.
Skills you will learn: redirection, communicating with residents with memory loss, improving the lives of those living with memory loss, person centered care, reminiscing, art and music therapy.
We offer web-based learning before starting to work with our residents. We also offer an orientation with each community director that touches on all of the integral parts of our community.
Standing, sitting,bending, reaching, walking, outdoor activities, lifting up to 25 lb.
