Project Based InternAt — Casa de Amistad
Casa de Amistad is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering low-income and underserved students and their families through education, youth development, and family support services. Through culturally responsive programming, Casa de Amistad works to build strong, thriving communities and expand opportunities for youth and families. Casa de Amistad is seeking motivated and community-oriented interns to support its programs and operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit work, education, and community engagement while contributing to meaningful impact in the local community.
*Gain practical experience in nonprofit management and community development *Develop leadership, communication, and cross-cultural skills *Learn program design, implementation, and evaluation *Build relationships with community leaders and partner organizations *Collect and organize data from various sources, including surveys, case management systems, and external databases
Interns would attend an orientation outlining their role and responsibilities, and receive ongoing support from the Director of Programs during their internship. All adults over 18 are required to do the Mandated Reporter Training as required by California, and also complete a Live Scan background check.
