Reading Tutor InternAt — We Strive for Literacy, Inc
Make a real impact while building your resume—join WSFL as an intern and help children grow in reading, confidence, and school success.
Students will gain hands-on experience in evidence-based literacy instruction, tutoring, lesson support, progress monitoring, and nonprofit program delivery. Interns may also have the opportunity to begin EBLI training, a highly effective literacy approach used to improve reading, spelling, and writing outcomes. Students who demonstrate commitment and strong performance may also be considered for WSFL’s Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship pathway, which provides additional training and the opportunity to earn a nationally recognized certificate. This opportunity can serve as a strong career pathway for students interested in education, child development, literacy, special education, nonprofit leadership, or community impact work. Literacy careers can offer strong long-term earning potential, with some literacy specialist and private tutoring roles earning competitive salaries depending on experience, location, and setting.
WSFL will provide structured onboarding and role-specific training to ensure students are prepared, supported, and successful in their internship responsibilities.
