Opportunity Summary 

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting emergency management and disaster preparedness initiatives for the university. Utilizing their student perspective, interns assist with planning, training, exercises, emergency operations, and community preparedness programs that help prepare the campus community for emergencies and disasters. Through collaboration with emergency management professionals, partner agencies, and campus stakeholders, interns gain practical experience in building resilience, enhancing preparedness capabilities, and supporting efforts that protect lives, property, and critical services during times of crisis.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Interns will gain knowledge and skills in the emergency management cycle, crisis communication, outreach program development and delivery, and emergency operations.

Opportunity Training 

Interns will be provided with foundational training in EOC operations, crisis communication, and Access and Functional Needs preparedness.
