Provides experience working directly with children, adolescents, and families in a supportive, professional setting. Responsibilities may include engaging with youth, assisting with program activities, building relationships, and gaining practical experience addressing the needs of children, adolescents, and families.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, adolescents, and families. A basic understanding of child and adolescent development, professionalism, cultural awareness, confidentiality, and the ability to adapt to different needs and situations.
Training will include hands-on guidance in working with children, adolescents, and families, along with instruction on communication, professional boundaries, confidentiality, safety procedures, and appropriate support strategies. Staff will provide supervision and feedback to help develop practical skills and confidence in the role.
