Opportunity Summary
Mentoring students in grades 9-12. Helping students with study skills such as collaboration, note taking, organization and asking higher level questions. Also monitoring and guiding student tutorial groups.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
Learning about challenges of teens, how to work with teens in a educational setting, gaining empathy and understanding for students from diverse backgrounds and home situations.
Opportunity Training
Training will be provided about AVID and AVID tutorial strategies.
