Opportunity Summary 

Learn about and help restore the native habitat, there are less than 10% of wetlands in the U.S. and Batiquitos Lagoon is home to some endangered species. Join in to help keep Batiquitos beautiful.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have learned about some of the plants both native and invasive, and the history of the lagoon. Students will have the opportunity to attend walks and talks related to nature topics and the environment. Students will also have an opportunity to interact with visitors in our Nature Center Center and learn about the birds and animals that call Batiquitos home.

Opportunity Training 

There will always be a volunteer leader with the student who will provide leadership and direction.
