Interns complete the Aspiranet training program which includes modules on: Suicide Screening, (C-SSRS), Trauma Assessment (ACEs), Wellness Screening (substance abuse, nutrition, pain), Cultural Humility, Strengthening Families-Protective Factors, Treatment Planning, Field Safety, HIPAA and Mandated Reporting.
While social work interns navigate the rewarding complexities of field work, they also encounter various safety concerns. Aspiranet provides training related to field safety, infection control, emergency/incident management, etc. Risks are mitigated through assessments, staff self awareness, clear communication, and Agency support.
