Opportunity Summary 

Sites available in Turlock and Modesto.

The Masters of Social Work Intern will support safety and wellness program through case management and resource referral which may include the following: enrollment in entitlements and assistance programs, medical and mental healthcare, recovery of essential documents, legal protections and guidance, as well as educational and vocational opportunities and childcare. The MSW Intern will assist in the completion of assessments (RHS-15), intakes, initial and subsequent service and care plans. The Intern will also support in outreach efforts and community engagement efforts related to the above services and the delivery of program related educational materials and activities.

Opportunity Training 

Mandatory Trainings for this internship include: 40hr Victim Assistance Training, IRC RAI Safety & Security Training, RHS15 Training, Domestic Violence and Mandatory Reporter Training, Trauma Informed care Training.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Interns are supervised directly by IRC staff during interactions with clients. When out in the field interns are always supervised by IRC staff. Interns will be trained on safety and security protocols in the first 6 weeks of internship.
