Student InternAt — Parent Resource Center

Opportunity Summary 

Students can obtain hands-on learning by working side by side with the Parent Resource Center's staff. Students will gain real-life experience.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Depending on the major and the student, students will have learned the skills needed for case managers, child care providers, and communications/public relations/marketing professions.

Opportunity Training 

Students will first shadow agency staff, then accompany staff as they provide services to clients. Students will observe parenting classes and parent-child interactions, and then be assigned to present an interaction.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students will be given a safety tour of the building and will be given the illness injury prevention policy to read.
