LearningQuest Observation HoursAt — LearningQuest --Stanislaus Literacy Center
Students will observe different ESL Instructors within our Family Literacy/ESL programs to gain additional knowledge and perspective on adult ESL teaching methods. They will observe at different sites allowing for a range of diverse cultures and language learners. They will also observe different class levels ranging from beginning, intermediate, advanced, and conversational English.
The students plans to develop two comprehensive lesson plans inspired by the teaching methods they have observed. These lesson plans will be carefully crafted to integrate the best practices they have gathered from their observations. Once developed, they will implement these plans in their classroom, ensuring they pay close attention to their students' needs and learning styles. It is important to them that the lesson plans are tailored to cater to the diverse learning preferences of their students. After implementing these lesson plans, He will thoroughly evaluate their effectiveness by collecting feedback from their students. Their responses and reactions to the different teaching
methods will be crucial in helping them assess the impact of the lessons on their learning
experience. By doing so, they aim to continually improve their teaching methods and provide the best possible education for their students. They firmly believes that this process will enable them to create an engaging and effective learning environment for their students and better themselves as an educator.
We provide 10 hours of training for our Instructors prior to starting classes and monthly trainings held throughout the year. The observer would attend these meetings.
Most LQ sites are held at local elementary schools and community partnerships.
