ReStore VolunteerAt — Habitat for Humanity

Opportunity Summary 

ReStore Volunteers help receive in-kind donations from individuals and families, display items for sale, and help customers load purchases. All profits from the sale of items helps to build new construction low-income homes or repair low-income homes.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Customer Service, Volunteer Management, and construction skills.

 

We welcome volunteers near Modesto at 2206 Tenaya Drive from 9:00-5:30 Mondays through Fridays and 9:00-3:00 on Saturdays.  They should check in with the cashier

The same hours are available at our Merced ReStore at 1305 W. 18th Street, Merced.

Opportunity Training 

Each volunteer will be trained to the level necessary to complete tasks. On the job training is the primary method. Longer term volunteers have the option to take online courses.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Clothes that can get dirty, Jeans, closed toed shoes, and no baggy clothing that can catch on products or shelving equipment.
