Academic Internship – Student Success ProgramsAt — Warrior Re-engagement Center
This internship provides students with direct experience in student success initiatives at Stanislaus State. Interns will support programs such as Promise Scholars, Project Rebound, the Warrior Re-Engagement Center, and EOP. Students will gain exposure to how universities design and deliver services that help first-generation, low-income, formerly incarcerated, and system-impacted students succeed. Through advising support, outreach campaigns, and program development, interns will develop a deeper understanding of higher education practices and the barriers students face. This is an opportunity to learn while contributing to equity-focused student success.
How higher education programs support diverse and system-impacted student populations. Skills in outreach, advising support, and student engagement. Practical strategies for program development, implementation, and assessment. Greater awareness of structural barriers and equity-minded practices.
Interns will receive orientation to all four programs (Promise Scholars, Project Rebound, WRC, EOP). Training includes one-on-one coaching with staff, shadowing during student appointments and events, and instruction in using campus tools
Responsibilities are performed in standard campus office and meeting spaces. No unusual safety risks are associated with this opportunity. Students will be expected to follow all university health and safety protocols.
Opportunity contingent on referral from major advisor. Granted for Robert over summer.
