Opportunity Summary 

REMOTE Unpaid: Academic Credit Required

The purpose of the internship is to provide insight into the entrepreneur type businesses that can branch off from artistic and design education and degrees.

The intern will learn the newly developed industry of custom shoes and construction in the ever advancing Sneaker culture, as well as different forms of digital media and graphic designing. 

You will learn the process of shoe making from start to finish as well as how to customize and enhance already developed shoes. 

The internship will also consist of the designing and production side of custom t-shirt making. 

The internship breaks down branding and product development as well to learn how to create a personal business within the industry.

Qualified candidates who show advanced skills may be considered to be brought on to staff.
Requirements: Must be able to follow directions well. Have a desire or interest in art and painting or design / digital design and fashion. Experience with different adobe softwares such as Photo Shop and Illustrator. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn. 

Concept layout.
Drawing and painting.
Shoe construction.
Pattern cutting.
Social media marketing.

Training:

Training will include remote skills training for prep and working with shoes, shirts, and other material. The business structure and model will be broken down and explained so that the student may gain knowledge to start or develop their own business or help grow others.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will be able to see alternative ways of using their talents by starting a business. They will be able to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur. They will also learn how to work within time constraints to meet deadline. In addition they will get access to up and coming technology in the design world as well as celebrity clientele.
