Special Events Athletics InternAt — CSUF - Athletics

Now recruiting for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Internships

Those who intern with CSUF Titans Athletics and the Development team will have an opportunity to work with a number of different populations within the Cal State Fullerton campus community and beyond. The Development team supports CSUF Athletics by helping to generate support and raise funds for the Titans' intercollegiate athletics programs. This internship involves a mix of day-to-day athletics operations and special event/fundraiser preparation and execution. The Development team has opportunities available for those interns who are customer-service oriented, collaborative, reliable, and have Titan pride.

Training:

- To help the student achieve the proposed learning outcomes, the supervisor will model high quality customer service and provide the opportunity to practice engagement/communication with event staff members and guests.
- To help the student achieve the proposed learning outcomes, the supervisor will ensure that the student is provided the opportunity to assist in the planning and execution of a special event, such as a hospitality and/or fundraiser, from beginning to end.
- To help the student achieve the proposed learning outcomes, the supervisor will guide the student in creating effective and appealing marketing communications and allow space for the student to practice the demonstrated strategies.

Learning Outcomes:

- By the end of the internship, the student will have experience engaging with and serving a diverse population in a customer service oriented capacity.
- By the end of the internship, the student will be able to identify each of the logistical components necessary to consider in the planning and execution of a special event, such as a fundraiser and/or hospitality.
- By the end of the internship, the student will be able to identify each of the marketing components necessary to promote a special event, such as a fundraiser and/or hospitality.
