Training:

The internship training schedule will be divided into four main components, each designed to provide students with unique opportunities to develop the essential skills required to manage a nonprofit effectively.
The first component of the training schedule will be the initial orientation with our founder and public figure, Alexa Phelece. This orientation is mandatory for all students, and it will provide them with an overview of the nonprofit organization, its mission, and its operations. During the orientation, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on how to make the most of their internship experience.
The second component of the training schedule will involve weekly one-on-one mentor meetings with Alexa Phelece. These meetings will be scheduled via zoom or in-person, and they will provide students with personalized guidance and support throughout their internship. During these meetings, students will receive feedback on their work, identify areas for improvement, and set goals for the following week.
The third component of the training schedule will involve training for different types of skills required to manage a nonprofit. These skills may include fundraising, grant writing, event planning, marketing, and volunteer management. Students will receive training from experienced professionals in these areas, and they will have the opportunity to practice these skills through hands-on projects.
Finally, the fourth component of the training schedule will involve shadowing different mentors and key volunteers. This will provide students with the opportunity to observe how nonprofit professionals work in real-world settings. Additionally, students will attend workshops and skills training in order to perform confidently in the human services industry. These workshops may include conflict resolution, leadership development, and communication skills.
Overall, the internship training schedule will be designed to provide students with a comprehensive and well-rounded experience that prepares them for a successful career in the nonprofit sector.
