Opportunity Summary 

Manage a classroom of 8-16 children under 2 years old. Plan and organize activities that correspond with developmental milestones. Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities while supervising at all times. 

Intern will compare and contrast socio/emotional development with the infant room and the toddler room. Intern will lead circle time by following the monthly curriculum that is already in place. Intern will be apart of small conferences/ meetings to discuss a child's development. Lastly, intern will interact with other teachers for support and idea sharing.

Training:

Introduce intern to children from different age groups. Intern will shadow and help current teacher in classroom as they go about their daily activities. Intern will develop connections with families and children to understand normal versus abnormal home environments. Intern will be exposed to different classroom and learning styles that each age group excels best in.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Understand the variety of ways children of similar age groups learn to regulate their emotions.
2.Comprehend how different environments can impact a child's development.
3. See patterns and trends found in similar demographic groups.
4. Properly document, record, and interpret vital information about the children's development.
