Data Management Intern for St. Jude Wellness CenterAt — Providence, St. Jude Medical Center

Intern will create an easy to use, streamlined documentation system for data entry of assessment outcomes from our Medical Fitness participants. Current data is stored in an Excel sheet that is becoming large and daunting and needs to be more professional and easy to use by Wellness Center team. Intern will also create a simplified reporting method to take data and create outcomes reports for both clients and administrative staff to show improvements made during Medical Fitness classes.  Intern will learn about Medical Fitness standards and may assist in data collection and entry. Other tasks such as video & educational material may be requested as needed and if desired for experience by intern. 

Schedule is flexible and accommodating. Position may be open to hybrid workflow for some of the administrative tasks. 

Tasks:

1. Collect and interpret data from Medical Fitness evaluations.
2. Create data collection system (more advanced Excel or other program).
3. Create data reporting process.

Training:

1. General initial video & in person orientation offered.
2. Shadowing of coordinator and classes available.
3. Access to Program Coordinator and Wellness Manager as needed per project assignments.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Understand standards of Medical Fitness.
2. End with portfolio of data management project.
3. Understand best practices for reporting outcomes in fitness industry.
