Event Planning and Digital Media Marketing InternAt — Rebecca Calagna Events
This internship combines various aspects of promoting and executing a live event! Shadow and assist RCE's digital media manager in creating digital marketing campaign to promote an event which will span across email marketing, blogs, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and TikTok. Gain experience in social media management, search engine optimization, copywriting, and analytic reporting. Shadow and assist RCE lead designer/planner in order to prepare for coordinate a corporate educational event. Gain experience in event design, timeline and layout development, booking vendors, event planning, and event coordination.
Tasks:
Learning Outcome 1- Tasks: Writing copy for 1 blog, 10 social media posts, and 1 email newsletter. As well as assist in development of necessary copy for a corporate educational event (supervisor will support with weekly video call check-ins, daily communication with supervisor provided).
Learning Outcome 2- Tasks: Design graphic, edit video, and source images 1 blog, 10 social media posts, and 1 email newsletter. Also, participate in online community engagement and schedule to post (supervisor will support with weekly video call check-ins, daily communication with supervisor provided).
Learning Outcome 3- Project: Develop and implement a campaign for 1 social media platform to promote an educational event (supervisor will support with weekly video call check-ins, daily communication with supervisor provided).
Learning Outcome 4- Project: support lead designer/plan in preparing for corporate events (supervisor will support with weekly video call check-ins, daily communication with supervisor provided).
Learning Outcome 5- Assignment: Weekly analytic reporting to supervisor and present an overall report of their campaign and posts/email/newsletter performance at the end of the internship (supervisor will support with weekly video call check-ins, daily communication with supervisor provided).
Training:
Learning Outcome 1- Search engine optimization training: Learning research methods, organization and how to plan for use, and practice implementation in copywriting.
Learning Outcome 2- Social media strategy orientation: Learning brand tone, desired image, and interaction style online. As well as a Canva design overview and scheduling tool training.
Learning Outcome 3- Campaign development orientation: Current marketing funnel, goal setting, tactic planning, and implementation overview.
Learning Outcome 4- Ongoing event design/planning training: Shadow and assist lead designer/planner at RCE as they prepare for a corporate training event.
Learning Outcome 5- Analytics reporting training: Learn how to review and report meaningful analytics for social media platforms, websites, and email marketing.
Zoom meeting for onboarding/training. Weekly Zoom check-ins to provide support with tasks and work together on projects. Slack/text available Monday-Friday during business hours and video calls as needed.
Learning Outcome:
Identify and implement relevant keywords to maximize search engine optimization in digital media marketing.
Design/edit and implement content across email newsletters, blogs, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok.
Develop, implement, and measure results of a social media and digital marketing campaign which promotes a corporate educational event.
Plan, design, and coordinate a corporate training event.
Review analytics, configure and report, and present to overseeing parties.
