Opportunity Summary 

Social Media Marketing and Communications Intern

Unpaid: Academic Credit Required

  • Collaborate and support the social media plan developed by the Director of Social Media and team, that supports the vision of Wonder Women Tech Conference and its initiatives, projects and partnerships, (ie. sponsors, media partners, strategic partners, etc.) 

  • Support Wonder Women Tech Social Media marketing efforts with regular social media outreach

  • Engage with strategic partners, sponsors, speakers and organizations that can contribute to the overall vision of Wonder Women Tech

  • Other duties as assigned based on team needs

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all codes of ethics

  • Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance, participation and/or communication

Virtual Learning Experience:

1. Intern will participate in weekly virtual team meetings via video conference
2. Intern will communicate with team using company Slack channel and Click Up for task management
4. Team utilizes company Google drive for final deliverables
5. Supervisor will provide onboarding process to all portals and platforms 
6. Intern required to have access to computer with access to Adobe Creative Suite

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Reporting to our social media director, this position will assist with ideation, social content planning, scheduling and posting, assisting with post creation, community management, sourcing content, and more. Above all, this is an opportunity for the right candidate to learn how a fast-growing startup works, while adding value to a lean organization and seeing the immediate impact of good work.

Some things you’ll be doing:

-Work with WWT social media director to plan content for WWT's social accounts.

-You will help plan cultural calendars and assist in brainstorming new content, with the opportunity to pitch and execute on new ideas.

-Stay abreast of trends and conversations happening on social media and assist in adapting them for WWT’s social media.

-Assist in writing social copy and post planning, under clear guidance.

-Social media Listening

-Managing social media calendar

-Social media engagement

-Source on-brand imagery and inspiration.

-Assist in researching and approaching influencer partners. Assist in content capture for internal/external content promo, moments and events.

-Help to moderate across WWT’s Instagram properties.

-Assist with other administrative and copy tasks as needed.

-Creating fun, creative content to distribute across a variety of social media platforms.

-Build meaningful content and engagement to further the WWT brand visibility.
