Position Description: Student will produce and edit illustrations for the print and web editions of Daily Titan.

Learning Outcomes  

Learning Outcomes: Engage in the workflow of the newsroom. Collaborate with others in order to translate an article into a visual. Complete assignments by a deadline.

Training  

I provide regular critiques of Daily Titan content that will include the work completed in this internship. Additionally, I will schedule meetings for in-person feedback. Sydney also will work closely with peer leaders who have newsroom roles of editor-in-chief, managing editor and digital managing editor who also will provide feedback about whether her work meets the editorial needs of the Daily Titan.

Tasks/Duties  

Tasks: Correspond with other desk editors on illustration expectations and deadlines. Produce weekly illustrations fit to accompany Daily Titan stories. Manage the distribution of work to assistant illustrator(s).
