Personal Trainer/Fitness CoachAt — 24 Hour Fitness
The Fitness Coach represents 24 Hour Fitness to members and clients by delivering a positive fitness experience and quality personal and small group training sessions leading to member retention and client acquisition. The Fitness Coach delivers premium programming and consultation for clients in person.
Learn and understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique. Design and deliver detailed fitness programs based on the client's needs that include fitness offerings and general nutrition guidelines. Educating clients of fitness tools available to them, and teaching them how to maneuver through strength training in accordance to their starting point and end goal. Hold clients accountable to their fitness programs through goal settings, follow up discussions, and track progress.
Training:
Training includes: mandatory video orientation for the first day, job shadowing with Master Coaches, weekly and monthly meetings with management and Master Coaches discussing job performance and areas of opportunity, and training for programming presentation and prescriptions.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to present and prescribe specific programming options, evaluate a client's movements to assess their physical struggles and strengths, design a workout program based on those client's needs according to their evaluation, and learn how to build a clientele and maintain client retention.
