Career Center InternAt — Fullerton College Counseling Center

The Fullerton College Career Center's Career Exploration Program is seeking an intern interested in the fields of Career Development, Counseling, and Education.

Career Center Intern will assist Career Center Coordinator who oversees the Career Exploration Program of the Career Center. The intern will be offered a variety of tasks.

Duties include:

• providing assistance to students in their career exploration
• assisting with processing career-related assessments (e.g. MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory)
• providing group presentations regarding the services and resources of the Career Center
• participating in team and committee meetings
• possible job shadowing available with career counselors

Training:

Training will include an initial orientation (mandatory), weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing upon request, workshops/skills training when available.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, intern will gain knowledge of the population being served, will learn and/or increase critical thinking skills, develop and/or strengthen public speaking skills.
