Infinity Kids Pediatric Therapy Group is looking for an administrative assistant to support the daily clinical operations for their Lake Forest pediatric therapy clinics. At Infinity Kids we strive to be family oriented, keep a clean environment for families and staff, and support our families to the best of our ability. Infinity Kids Lake Forest opened in the summer of 2018 and quickly grew to serve many families in the surrounding area. Infinity Kids Anaheim Hills opened in January of 2021 with the same strong vision to serve the community.
Position Location: Lake Forest, CA
About Practice: Our multidisciplinary team believes in looking at the whole child using a family-centered approach. Infinity Kids is dedicated to supporting and educating families by providing the most up to date best practices. We offer occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, physical therapy, and family therapy. These therapies may look like play, but address much more to help grow your child’s mind and body. Through movement, all of our senses are constantly being integrated, strengthening other brain functions including memory, emotion, language, and learning. Job Functions (may change as the position evolves):
Answering phones - helping current and prospective clients
Clinic Support - wipe down high touched surfaces, vacuum, assist with clients if therapist is running behind, empty trash at the end of the day
Customer Service - Greet families when they enter, take daily copays, ensure anyone who calls the office is supported and gets their questions answered to the best of your ability
Skills: Systems we use are Fusion, Google Docs and Trello, any knowledge of these programs is beneficial but not mandatory. Will train. Previous clinical office experience of at least 1 year is required.
Position: This position is currently part-time, working Tuesday - Thursday from 8-5pm. May potentially move to full-time at a later date but not confirmed.
Tasks:
Create relationships with families and children to build trust and empathy as the family receives services through the clinic. Supports multiple doctors on staff in order to run a successful clinic. Understanding the types of therapy that is provided to children that have special needs.
Training:
employee orientation, weekly mentor meetings, discipline shadowing with licensed OT/PT/ST therapists, employee shadowing for skills and support, hands on support with families and clients in the mental health field.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of this internship, the student will be able to connect with families and understand situations connected with children with mental health needs, understand and apply empathy in hard situations where the family needs our support and will learn how to better support a team of employees with different personalities and characteristics.
