Graphic Design AssistantAt — Blue Revolver Inc.
CREATIVE & DESIGN
• Design and prepare print and digital assets, concepts, materials, etc. as assigned by the Design Team.
• Support current and incoming projects through preparation of decks and other graphic support/visuals, as needed to satisfy client briefs.
• Assist with Blue Revolver brand development by providing design support, concepts and assets for Blue Revolver's website, social media accounts and other communications.
• Receive direction and feedback openly and work quickly to address notes.
• Understand company vision and design aesthetics, working in support of Design Team and the Creative Director to maintain a consistent design sensibility across all projects.
• Research clients and understand client brand guidelines to employ as part of a creative strategy, ensuring client design standards and aesthetic are maintained.
• Participate in creative and design meetings, as well as in brainstorming sessions.
PRODUCTION
• Prepare drawings, floor plans, site plans and other materials as needed in order to produce and fabricate designs created by the Blue Revolver Design Team or provided by others for execution.
• Design print elements and digital content for projects, including graphic design, print file preparation and related responsibilities.
GENERAL
• Stay current on new technologies and software, design trends, vendor products, design elements, and production techniques.
• Ensure task status and delivery information are promptly communicated to Design Team and project leads.
• Ask questions, be humble, come to learn.
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
- Design client-facing decks related to active projects and pitch presentations for prospective projects.
- Propose and develop creative concepts for internal brand design projects ranging from social media content to marketing materials to capabilities decks.
- Design environmental graphics and prepare assets for print and installation real-world event locations.
- Design and prepare assets for use in digital elements of real-world projects.
Training:
- Initial general employer on-boarding meeting to discuss job description, systems, procedures, etc. (mandatory)
- Bi-weekly design team meetings (mandatory) to assign and discuss projects, ideas, wins, challenges, etc.
- Daily check-ins with project design leads to assign and review work and provide mentorship on best approaches and practices.
- Assignment of real-world projects that span various aspects of graphic design, such as branding, digital, and print media.
- Integration into project teams, enabling work alongside experienced designers, producers, and other key project stakeholders.
- Regular design critiques and reflective practice sessions.

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to...
1) understand and apply a professional graphic design process in from concept development through final execution.
2) develop and create comprehensive creative concept decks and presentations.
3) collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including designers, producers, and clients.
