BACKGROUND
What is CHANGE LAB®
There's something different going on here. This is not the same old lectures and videos. Nope. We’re talking interactive. We are developing a gamified software classroom for fundraising training- a fun, crazy, engaging experience. Oh, and by the way, fun and crazy is how we all learn best. We have invested the past three years into developing a highly engaging learning experience that works. Developed by senior nonprofit leaders and headquartered in downtown Los Angeles. Launched in Q4 2023 (www.changelab.studio.)
DUTIES
As an intern, you will have an opportunity to use your proficient 2D animation skills and your interest in games to apprentice in this stunning new breakthrough project that will accelerate and expand learning in the nonprofit sector.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design characters and movements
- Design assets and backgrounds
- Participate in team brainstorming, utilizing your ideas and skills to shape game concepts into effective teachable content
- Participate in developing assets for social media
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have good oral and written communication skills as well as proficiency in 2D animation and an interest in adult educational nonprofit learning development and gamification. Ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, works well with a team as well as independently, has a flexible schedule that allows for Thursdays and Fridays onsite in the downtown Los Angeles office. Important that the ideal candidate is interested in committing to a minimum three-month engagement.
COURSE CREDIT
Student course credit is offered, as available with your school. This is an unpaid internship.

Training:
We have an Intern Orientation informational folder, and insert them quickly into twice daily Discord informational meetings. They are overseen by our Chief Engineer, and Founder at all times.
Learning Outcomes:
Increase their portfolio and experience working with a design team.
Throughout the internship, an effort is made to engage in active oversight and ongoing communication with the student as they develop their 2D project(s). The result would be to create a series of high-quality animations, characters, and assets that showcase and expand their capabilities and are suitable for showing a variety of work in their portfolios as well as meeting the needs of our project(s ) They will better understand how to engage with and advocate for their ideas in a group process, negotiate their ideas within the group as well as listen and expand upon a group member’s thoughts so that they can help expand the group ideation toward a strong outcome. They will also be exposed to AR/VR and some AI work projects within the group that will assist in an understanding of how a creative team can respond to a client’s particular need.
