FINANCE INTERNAt — NAMI Orange County

This will be my personal finance intern to the CFO. The intern will shadow my duties and learn from a high level how a nonprofit accounting department operates and the function we bring to the organization. This intern position will not handle any of my current staff duties.

Tasks:

Assist with Data entry, data analysis, financial statement prep, audit prep, account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, sales tax, working within non profit accounting guidelines

One-on-one weekly meetings
Job shadowing
One-on-one training from the CFO
Training videos required

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to:
Prepare a financial statement
Analyze the information within the financial statement
Gain a general understanding of what an audit is
Understand high level accounting principles
