(11:00pm-7:00am) OVERNIGHT

Ability to work one or two days of the weekend required.

COMPENSATION: $19.00-$23.00/hour.
\n
\n
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Resident Coordinator will be assigned projects, based on their level of expertise, that include any, or all the following job responsibilities.

- Coordinates and transports clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring the clients arrive on time to all scheduled activities, and ensures participant safety.
- Utilizes intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families and significant others daily and in crisis.
- Rigorously adheres to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
- Proficiently navigate and utilize the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively
- Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding reports of client behavior with medication side effects.
- Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
- Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record.
- Conduct observation rounds, as needed to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment. Effectively and correctly report these in daily passdowns.
- Responsible for resident attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
- Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagrams, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n

- Must be 21 years or older to apply for this position.
- Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check.
- Minimum Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or similar.
- Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Current T.B. clearance
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit for long periods of time, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Learn how to apply empathy, active listening, and appropriate self-disclosure to facilitate positive changes in residents' mental health and well-being. Understand the boundaries of professional relationships and the importance of maintaining these boundaries to ensure ethical care.

3. **Behavioral Management and Crisis Intervention**: Learn effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors and crises within a mental health residential setting. This includes de-escalation techniques, understanding the use of least restrictive interventions, and applying person-centered approaches to minimize stress and prevent escalation of situations. Gain skills in recognizing early signs of agitation or relapse and implementing intervention plans promptly.

4. **Documentation and Compliance**: Acquire skills in detailed and precise documentation of resident care, including behavioral observations, interventions provided, medication monitoring, and any changes in mental status. Understand the legal and ethical considerations in documentation and the importance of maintaining confidentiality and compliance with health care regulations and standards.

5. **Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Collaboration**: Learn to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Develop an understanding of each professional's role in the care team and how to communicate effectively to coordinate care plans, contribute to team meetings, and participate in the development and evaluation of individualized treatment plans for residents.
