Assist the Director of the WCC Children's Ministry in planning, and implementing all aspects of the Children's Program at Woodbridge Community Church

Tasks:
\n
Evaluate and make recommendation on how to improve the children’s ministry online presence using social media as a communications platform for communicating vision and programs.
\n
Oversee the parent portal and communication network of the children’s ministries
\n
Track volunteers to ensure sufficient support for the different children’s classroom activities
\n
Supervise the management of classrooms to ensure that every class has adequate supplies and tools necessary for an optimal, learning environment and positive experience for children.
\n
Training:
\n
Provide an organizational orientation and briefing, outlining church policies and procedures for the ministry department included in the internship program.
Include the intern in the weekly senior staff meeting, in order to gain hands on operational experience in the planning and brainstorming process involved in Project management.
\n
Assign both Staff and Direct Line functions in the organization and provide actual experience in managing church programs and projects, which may include the leading and supervising personnel and other resources.
\n
Provide weekly one on one leadership coaching with one of our senior project managers
\n
Learning Outcome:
\n
Understand the Church organizational infrastructure and learn how the different the church ministry departments interface with each other and function as an integral whole.
\n
Develop skills in designing ministry organizational infrastructure that can effectively reach out and care for the spiritual and emotional needs of the church constituency.
Learn to coordinate and manage actual church programs, going through the process cycle beginning with goal setting, vision casting, volunteer recruitment, plan implementation, communication and feedback, and debrief and evaluation.
