Behavioral Health Specialist IIAt — RUHS-BH-Crisis Support Systems of Care
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborate with community partners and internal stakeholders to conduct brief screenings for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and to coordinate field-response teams to address these needs in the community.
Have the ability and experience engaging with individuals in crisis and/or with substance use barriers.
Crisis Dispatch staff work collaboratively with our Mobile Crisis System of Care staff and/or contracted provider field staff to support individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis to keep them safe in the community or at the lowest level of care possible by providing field-based support, resources and follow up linkage to community resources.
Provide crisis support to stakeholders and consumers in crisis and facilitate coordination for dispatching crisis teams to those in need.
Complete crisis calls and paperwork associated with caller to ensure that consumer needs are met.
Coordinate with treatment providers on occasion regarding continuum of care an/or connecting for services.

Learning Outcomes:
The student will be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide services to those experiencing a mental health crisis.
The student will be to provide pertinent documentation necessary for client care.
The student will able to communicate effectively with during crisis calls and within the multidisciplinary teams.
