Dental Assisting chairside duties, including direct patient interaction during procedures, xrays, polishing, assisting during general dentistry or oral surgery procedures, sterilization, chair turnover, patient check-in/dismissal.

- Sterilizing all instruments used in procedures - taking x-rays and assisting chairside to aid in learning anatomy, and proper dental treatment procedure

Training:

Individual trainin to cover office policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures. Meetings with Dr. to provide feedback on performance including chairside and back office/sterile procedures. Provide hands-on training for individual task.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to assist chairside on multiple procedures, learn anatomy, proper sterile and infection control, and x-ray procedure.
