Course Assistant- S. MatarAt — CSUF - College of Humanities & Social Science

Internship position offer an opportunity to work in front seat and back seat of teaching. Students conduct tasks in the back end to proactively prepare students for success and assist professor with course delivery, materials and content. Students get to learn procedures that involve teaching in a respectful and positive environment.

Learning Outcomes  

By the end of this internship, the student will know how to administer exams.
By the end of this internship, the student will practice teaching a section of a chapter of their choice.
By the end of this internship, the student will learn to prepare students for success by assisting as a guide.

Training  

To help the student achieve the proposed learning outcomes, I will conduct debriefing with students before/after exams.
To help the student achieve the next proposed learning outcome, I will present students with material ahead of time for preparation.
To help the student achieve the learning outcomes proposed, I will have weekly check-ins with student.

Tasks/Duties  

The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by observing students on exam time.
The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by assisting in modifying exams as needed with help of instructor.
The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by addressing emails of student needing support.
The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by holding office hours weekly.
The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by sharing and posting content for supplemental support.
The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by conducting review sessions for examinations.
