Implement behavior strategies to promote prosocial behaviors. Manipulate the environment to contrive learning opportunities to increase skills. Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure everyone is on the same page. Capture learning opportunities in the natural environment. Collect data and follow behavior intervention plans. Remain calm during challenging behaviors and follow through with behavior plan. Planning and organizing different activities throughout sessions to increase engagement. 

Tasks:

Data collection every session. Worksheets given to check in with understanding of behavioral principles. Following and implementing the behavior intervention plan. Demonstrating skills in redirection and behavior momentum. Implementing skill acquisition goals and monitoring and discussing progress with BCBA.

Training:

Training will include weekly supervision appointments of student with client. Feedback will be given every session that is observed with action points for improvement or learning. General employee orientation to understand company values and objectives when working with clients. Ongoing training in areas of Applied Behavior Analysis such as reinforcement, stimulus control, natural environment teaching and discrete trial training. Trainings for hands off approach to redirecting challenging behaviors. Behavior skills training provided on a consistent basis to ensure employee is understanding concepts and executing skills at a high level.

Learning Outcome:

Identify the core deficits of Autism Spectrum Disorder and at least 2 strategies to address each deficit.
Identify functions of behavior when observing a child in the natural environment and how to best respond based on the function of behavior.
Discuss behavioral principles that motivate and maintain positive behaviors.
Understand and demonstrate implementing a behavior intervention plan.
