Opportunity Summary 

Assist OT in supporting students, addressing teacher needs in the classroom, modeling for teacher and classroom, assisting with documentation, review/prepare information for OT to assist with and provide student treatments. etc.

Tasks
Assisting/caring for others - personal assistance/support to students, addressing teacher needs in the classroom, modeling for teacher/class, assist with classroom-wide modeling, training for teachers/assistance, practicity documentation of student response to OT/SEL strategies, review/prepare information for PT to assist with student treatment.

Training
Intern will participate in training regarding educational processes for SPED and SEL topics, virtual training formats for district mandated requirements, access to SE/OT binders to access school-based strategies, orientation/supervision with OT to navigate campus and working with staff on sites.

Learning Outcomes
Communicate with school site staff, teachers, and administration in a professional manner.
Report to OT verbally and in writing on student's progress, attitude, attendance, and accomplishments.
Assist students in navigating school campus for OT/SEL tx/lessons.
Communicate with mentor and supervisor in professional manner to discuss goals and areas of improvement.
