Destination Marketing InternAt — Visit Laguna Beach

Opportunity Summary 

Responsibilities include working alongside the Marketing Manager on developing compelling and relevant content for social media, the Visit Laguna Beach website, external tourism websites, blogs, e-newsletters and other digital content. This position reports to the Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing, and CEO. 

- Social media content calendars
- Content gathering and creation for social media.
- Website updates as assigned by marketing team
- Come up with topic and creation of 2 blogs over the course of the internship.

Training:

The student will receive initial general employer orientation. We will have weekly one on one meetings and the student will job shadow our marketing manager and accompany them to create content for our social media, website and blogs. The student will also be trained on the backend of our website and learn how to make updates.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to develop and understand the importance monthly content calendars, creating creative and relevant content for our social channels that will align with our brand guidelines, and have the opportunity to write blogs to be featured on our website. The student will also learn the importance of community engagement, networking and partnering with our local hotels and businesses.
