Behavior InterventionistAt — Intercare Therapy
Under the supervision of a Program Manager or Clinical Supervisor, the Behavior Technician (BT) implementsevidence- based behavioral treatment plans, utilizing best practices in a professional and ethical manner.Treatment sessions can occur in a home, community, or clinic-based setting.
• Conduct direct intervention sessions with assigned clients
• Implement treatment protocols with assigned clients as developed and specified by the case Clinical Supervisor
• Collect accurate skill acquisition and behavior reduction data as specified by the case Clinical Supervisor
• Actively engage with assigned clients during treatment sessions
• Demonstrate creativity in play and client interactions
• Identify and deliver reinforcers per treatment protocols and training guidelines
• Review updates to treatment protocols and seek clarification as needed for implementation
• Document and maintain notes in client medical record (e.g., data, session notes)
• Implement only those interventions approved and directed by the case Clinical Supervisor
• Complete administrative and clinical tasks as outlined by Primary Supervisor and/or case Clinical Supervisor
• Report client performance, parent concerns or observed barriers to treatment directly with the case clinical team
• Arrive on time to scheduled sessions
• Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and cultural responsivity
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, and professional boundaries with clients
• Attend in participate in territory meetings
• Follow company policies/procedures, and guide and reinforce others to follow policies/procedures
• Contribute ideas and solutions that enhance Intercare's people, processes, and culture
• Maintain billable and availability requirements of role
• Perform other duties as requested
Training:
The behavior interventionist went through two weeks of training and will be supervised by a Masters level and BCBA level supervisor twice a month.
