Are you driven to transform the lives of youth while deepening your connection to Christian ministry? Join us for the Free Chapel OC Youth Ministry Internship—an exceptional chance to collaborate closely with our dedicated team within a compassionate, faith-driven environment. As an intern, you'll actively advance our mission of guiding, supporting, and nurturing young individuals, from 6th grade through high school seniors, facing challenging circumstances. You'll also gain valuable insights into the administrative aspects of our youth ministry, contributing to its growth and impact.

-Mentorship and Support: Engage in one-on-one and group mentoring sessions with youth, offering a listening ear, encouragement, and guidance rooted in Christian values.

-Spiritual Guidance: Participate in and help organize faith-based activities, Bible studies, and discussions to foster the spiritual growth of youth.

-Program Development: Collaborate with our team to develop and enhance program activities, saturday youth nights, youth camps, and resources tailored to the needs of youth.

-Community Engagement: Support and participate in community service projects and events aimed at involving at-risk youth in positive, faith-driven outreach. As well as participate in Campus ministry outreach.

Training:

Training Program for Youth Ministry Internship at Free Chapel OC:

Orientation and Ministry Overview: At the beginning of the internship, students will undergo a comprehensive orientation to familiarize themselves with Free Chapel OC's mission, values, and the specific goals of the youth ministry program. This session will provide an understanding of the ministry's overall structure and expectations.

Supervision and Feedback: Regular supervision and feedback sessions will be conducted to monitor progress, address questions or concerns, and ensure that interns are on track to achieve their learning outcomes.

Leadership Development: Interns will have the opportunity to shadow and learn from ministry leaders, gaining insights into leadership responsibilities within a faith-based community.

Youth Empowerment Strategies: Training will focus on strategies for empowering youth, fostering their personal growth, self-esteem, and resilience, and helping them discover their potential and purpose.

Community Outreach and Service: Students will be involved in community outreach training, emphasizing the importance of community engagement within a ministry context. This may include sessions on organizing and participating in service projects such as campus clubs and other off-site events.

Administrative Skills Development: To ensure effective program administration, interns will receive training in record-keeping, event coordination, and the implementation of administrative processes that contribute to the growth and efficiency of the youth ministry.

Crisis Intervention and Support: Training in recognizing and responding to crises or challenges that at-risk youth may face will be provided. This includes crisis de-escalation techniques, resources, and referrals when necessary.
