College Media Reporter, Marketing and PR \\Remote\\ InternshipAt — College Web Media

Opportunity Summary

College Web Media is a marketing, media, and mentoring company. Our target market is the college demographic in the United States and Canada. CWM has been marketing to college students since 1993 when we started as an independent record company singing SKA-PUNK bands out of OC.

Our primary focus is college radio stations, newspapers, campus ambassadors, street teams, and social media outlets. Our clients include DISNEY, National Geographic, SONY, Warner Brothers, Roadside Attractions, The Duplass Brothers, and many more.

In the past, interns were required to attend major motion picture movie screenings for CWM—opportunities to be on the \\Red carpet\\ and interview some talents. Now, interns will be required to do remote talent interviews and have the interviews recorded through Zoom. The interviews will be processed, uploaded, and sent to our CWM college student email database and college radio stations, newspapers, and social media platforms in the US and Canada.

Remember, interns are mentored at all times. Communicating with the found via text should they have questions about their scheduled interviews and interview questions.

Interns will be evaluated for their work, coached, and mentored. We drop you in the deep end and tell you to swim. It's an uncompromising approach to interning, but we always get letters of recommendation from our interns when they leave. They are grateful for learning what they couldn't in a class and leave feeling confident and assured they are hiring-ready. Our philosophy is that you are good to go as long as you can dog paddle. Some of our interns have gone on to work for major media networks. Here is some of their work: NatGeo, Jaewon Jung, now at CBS.
