DDO Artists Agency is seeking a part-time intern for the LA Youth Department, which encompasses TV/Film. Theater, Commercial, Voice-Over, and Print divisions. With offices in LA, NY & Chicago. DDO is constantly evolving and takes pride in the personalized relationships we form with our diverse roster of clients. Our work environment leans towards casual, but can quickly become fast-paced - great for promoting growth in our interns. You'll be working side-by-side with the department agents & assistants, interacting with clients, and learning about contracts, unions, current projects and relationships between agencies & casting. DDO is a great place to begin or continue your journey into the entertainment industry!

POSITION DETAILS:

WHERE: REMOTE/WORK FROM HOME. Will work West Coast hours. An in office day to meet and shadow the agents is available if you'd like and are based nearby.
WHEN: 4 months, starting around 1/2/25. Ends around 5/1/25 Mon-Fri from 9:30AM-6:30PM PST, Minimum 2 days/week. You choose!
Unpaid, but with opportunities to move up since we hire almost exclusively from within! College credit available.

MUST be positive & eager to learn about the entertainment business, and good with parents & children!Looking for someone who is committed, detail oriented, organized and eager to learn!I

Tasks:

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Reading and understanding casting breakdowns
-Email and Phone correspondence with clients
-Working with online accounts used by actors and casting (Actor's Access, Breakdown Express, LA Casting, Casting Frontier, Sides Express)
-Saving Talent paperwork and updating detailed spreadsheets
-Inputting confidential client information (inEntertainment)
-Helping the agents with various tasks as neededSKILLS REQUIRED:
-Google Suite, Microsoft Office, PC Proficiency
-Strong Attention to Detail, Initiative, Multi-tasking Skills, Phone & Email Etiquette, Superior Work Ethic & Organization
-Must have a working Laptop and decent Wifi. Application and video downloads are required.

Training:

Prior to your first day you will be provided a handbook and training videos to familiarize yourself. On day one, you will have a Zoom Orientation with the whole team. The first week, you will have one on one training sessions with various departments.

Learning Outcome:

Describe the roles of Talent Agent, Manager and Casting Director.
Know how the casting process works.
Successfully navigate Breakdowns Express, Casting Networks, Casting Frontier, Casting App, and InEntertainment.
Be able to identify string pitching materials versus weak.
Be able to identify current projects and the teams that work on them.
Have a deeper knowledge of the entertainment industry and have made some connections.
