TitanHEALTH Community Engagement Undergraduate InternAt — CSUF - Student Health and Counseling Center
TitanHEALTH seeks a research and program development intern with an interest in health and wellness for our new Community Engagement program. Strong research experience, technical writing, grammatical, and communication skills required. The qualified intern should be a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently and in a team. Experience as a research assistant or with curriculum or program development experience is a plus. The weekly time commitment is flexible. Intern should be able to provide a minimum of 10 hours of service per week, and up to 20 hours. Schedule will be pre-approved and arranged on an individual basis. Office hours are M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Student Wellness (SHCC-E & W). This is an in-person, on-campus position.
Program Overview
Our program, Ready to ACT, focuses on empowering Titans across five target areas:
1. Health distress such as cardiac arrest, including training in CPR
2. Overdose of alcohol or opioids, including training in administering naloxone and alcohol poisoning.
3. Sexual, domestic, and dating violence, including bystander intervention training
4. Mental health crisis and suicidality, including mental health first or QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)
5. Bias/discrimination related to race, ethnicity, ability, or other protected statuses, including bystander intervention training
