College Autism Program Intern academic coachAt — Golden West College

Unpaid intern will work in dsps, disabled students program and services as an academic coach for students who are struggling in their classes and or need extra academic support.

Tasks:

assist students with time management, executive functioning skills, study skills and college life balance.
teach student s how to access community and college resources.
assist in teaching/facilitating success workshops

Training:

general employee training
weekly supervision/training
one on one mentoring opportunities with counselor and college staff
College Ally trainings

Learning Outcome:

meet one on one with students
assist students with academic success strategies
assist student with accessing college support and community support
