Opportunity Summary 

What You'll Do:

\n

    \n
  • Primary responsibilities are editing stories and segments for television shows and programs

    • \n

  • Assign editing projects to assistants as needed and ensure production quality and timeliness for all projects

    • \n

  • Organization and maintenance of the editing bays, video libraries, and archival footage

    • \n

  • Help with video productions and multi-camera shoots

    • \n

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Motion, and Photoshop programs

    • \n

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with other staff, faculty, and students

    • \n

  • Must be able to take direction and take initiative to be a valuable team player

    • \n

  • Ability to work with After Effects and Motion programs

    • \n

  • Create demo-reel materials

    • \n

  • Ability to work as a member of a creative team to produce high-quality animations

    • \n

  • Comprehensive policy and guideline orientation

    • \n

  • Multiple hands-on workshop training days

    • \n

  • Additional training days specific to the job title

    • \n

  • Crewing on 30+ live broadcast shows throughout the semester

    • \n

\n

Learning Outcomes:

    \n
  • Become an independent TV Editor capable of creating professional segments/shows from pre-production to post-production

    • \n

  • Work with the Production Coordinator and coordinate crew to ensure that all elements of story coverage and final editing are done properly and in a timely manner

    • \n

  • Develop leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    • \n
