Carrico Pediatric Therapy Inc. VolunteerAt — Carrico Pediatric Therapy
Our volunteers assist therapists with setting up activities for sessions, clinic organization, and sanitation while getting a firsthand look at occupational, physical, and speech therapy services. There is no hands-on patient interaction during sessions for volunteers.
To be onboarded as a volunteer, you must complete a virtual interview, provide proof of a negative TB test taken within the last year, and complete a Live Scan (approx. $20-40).
Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to:
-Observing and assisting therapists during Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapy sessions
-Assisting in the maintenance of clinic organization and cleanliness
-Assisting in the set-up and break-down of sessions
-Other seasonal/special projects
Please note that volunteers will not have hands-on opportunities with patients, in compliance with governing board guidelines.
Training
Volunteers will have a one-on-one interview/orientation with the volunteer coordinator to go over the position, expectations, policies, and the onboarding process.
On the first day, volunteers will be given a tour and will have the chance to read through our Volunteer Handbook. They will also receive a breakdown of the side duties list at the location of their service.
Throughout their experience, the clinical manager, therapy aide (if applicable), and volunteer coordinator will be available to provide the volunteer with feedback and support, if needed.
