Volunteers will serve as role models and extra support for the students and staff working on academics and engagement in program activities and clubs.
Tasks:
Share skills and talents with teens by providing skill building in one of four areas: Performing/Visual Art (dance, drama, choir, arts/crafts, music appreciation, sketching, etc.), Life Skill (budgeting, cooking, sewing, etiquette, chess, etc.), Nutrition (health, wellness, etc.), Physical Education/Recreation (cheerleading, organized sports, game leadership, etc.).
help students with homework, assist with projects, run clubs (dance, sports, music, e-sports, D&D, and many others), assist with passing out snacks
Training:
Interns will go through a program orientation and receive ongoing training by the program supervisors.
Learning Outcomes:
Learn about classroom management, resolving student conflict and lesson plan preparation. Additionally, students will gain more experience in working with school administration and parent communications.
