Opportunity Summary 

Are you passionate about using your skills to create a meaningful impact? Corazón de Vida, a purpose-driven organization supporting orphaned and abandoned children in Baja, is looking for a talented and motivated Social Media/PR Intern to join our team!

This is a flexible internship where you can apply what you’ve learned in school to help us amplify our mission. We're looking for someone with:

  • Creative content ideas for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and blogging.
  • Strong research and writing skills (a must!).
  • Bonus talents such as photography, videography, or graphic design are highly valued!

Time Commitment:

  • A minimum of 10 hours per week.

Tasks:

Interns will be responsible for developing and managing social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and blogs to enhance engagement and awareness of Corazón de Vida’s mission. Tasks include researching trends, creating compelling posts, writing blog articles, and scheduling content to maintain a consistent online presence. They will also assist in public relations efforts by drafting press materials, monitoring media coverage, and identifying outreach opportunities. Additionally, interns may contribute to multimedia projects, including photography, video editing, and graphic design, to support storytelling initiatives. Regular collaboration with the team and participation in strategy meetings will ensure alignment with organizational goals while allowing interns to gain valuable hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications.

Training:

Interns will receive comprehensive training to ensure a meaningful and hands-on learning experience. The program begins with an onboarding and orientation session, introducing Corazón de Vida’s mission, branding, and social media strategies. Interns will receive guidance on content creation, engagement tactics, and platform-specific best practices. They will also learn to conduct audience research, analyze social media metrics, and identify trends to optimize performance. Writing and storytelling workshops will enhance their ability to craft compelling narratives for blogs and PR materials, while training in photography, video editing, and graphic design tools will strengthen their visual storytelling skills. Throughout the internship, interns will have regular check-ins with a supervisor for mentorship, feedback, and strategy refinement, ensuring they gain practical experience and build a strong portfolio for future roles in social media, PR, and nonprofit marketing.
