Opportunity Summary 

Stephens, Reidinger, Beller LLP, a growing Newport Beach CPA firm seeks CSUF  junior and senior candidates for internship.  Qualified candidates should presently be enrolled in, or have completed, both intermediate accounting and tax (Acct 308.) 

 

Our internship positions are offered at a competitive hourly wage, providing the opportunity for valuable experience in a progressive public accounting firm with a diverse client base.  The intern experience will include administrative tax department support correspondence transmitting completed tax returns to client portals, including efile authorization requests and selective aspects of individual, partnership, and corporate tax return preparation as well as potential audit field work experience.  Successful internships may also lead to full time positions after graduation.

Internship Period: January to April, 2025

Hours per week: 20+ with flexible schedule subject to class load accommodation

Tasks:

1. Management of multiple client portals, including
daily monitoring incoming traffic for efile authorizations, client data file intake and download to client folders, upload completed tax returns.
2. Tax return hard copy assembly on selected clients declining digital delivery.
3. Special project assignments involving tax return input.
4. Individual tax return input as time allows.
5. Financial statement product assembly and support.

Training:

-ONBOARDING ORIENTATION AND INTRODUCTION TO STAFF.
-ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING BY TAX ASSOCIATE MENTOR.
-JOB SHADOWING AND FEEDBACK.

Learning Outcome:

1. Retrieve client data in secure portal, place it in assigned client binder, and move client assignment to manager in CCH Axcess workflow.
2. Receive completed tax returns with efile authorizations, forward by email to clients with portal access, move clients to next step in CCH Axcess workflow.
3. In those cases where clients specifically request, print and assemble hard copy returns from CCH Prosystems tax software.
4. Utilize CCH scan software to digitize individual tax organizer with sequential sorting of underlying supporting data.
